At Office Revolution, we believe our work is not only about the spaces we furnish but the communities we serve. As the year comes to a close, we’re reflecting on the many ways our teams across the Midwest have extended their talents, time, and resources beyond the workplace.
Inspired by the season, Twelve Ways of Giving highlights some of the many organizations we’re proud to support—each one aligned with our belief that thoughtful action, like thoughtful design, can change lives.
1. Greater Chicago Food Depository
Our Chicago team regularly volunteers with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, contributing hands-on support to fight hunger and food insecurity. From assembling and labeling boxes to palletizing food for distribution, each task plays a role in ensuring families across our community have access to nutritious meals.
2. Kids Off the Block
Kids Off the Block provides a safe, structured environment for adolescents navigating some of life’s toughest challenges. Through mentorship, personalized consultations, and group dialogue, the organization empowers young people with the tools to pursue education, personal growth, and long-term success. We’re proud to support a mission centered on prevention, opportunity, and positive social change.
3. Humble Design
Humble Design transforms empty spaces into homes for individuals and families emerging from homelessness. Office Revolution supports this mission by sponsoring their annual golf outing. Their annual golf outing helps fund furnishings and design services that bring dignity, comfort, and stability to those starting a new chapter.
4. Evans Scholars Foundation
The Evans Scholars Foundation is the nation’s largest scholarship program for golf caddies, awarding full tuition and housing to high-achieving students with financial need. Office Revolution proudly supports ESF through monetary donations—and in 2024, we celebrated alongside one of our own as an employee’s son earned this prestigious scholarship.
5. Habitat for Humanity
Our Chicago and Ohio teams partner with Habitat for Humanity to help families achieve the stability of homeownership. From sanding and drywalling to installing flooring and building structural elements, our team members dedicate full days to the build process. Returning later for the Home Dedication Ceremony allowed us to see the lasting impact of that work firsthand.
6. Designs for Dignity
Designs for Dignity is a Chicago-based nonprofit that creates restorative environments for other nonprofits through pro bono design and in-kind donations. Office Revolution proudly contributes furniture to support their work by helping transform service spaces for organizations that uplift at-risk populations and underserved communities.
7. Chicago Furniture Bank
Through furniture donations, we support the Chicago Furniture Bank in its mission to provide essential furnishings to individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness and poverty. Thoughtfully repurposed furniture can make a house feel like home, and we’re honored to play a role in that transformation.
8. HOPE Ornaments
During the holiday season, Office Revolution donates wrapped HOPE Ornaments to be gifted to patients hospitalized throughout Chicagoland. These small, thoughtful gestures bring moments of comfort and joy to individuals and families spending the holidays away from home.
9. Chicago Fire Department
We support our local fire departments through furniture and supply donations, including office chairs and equipment to enhance their work environments. It’s a small way to give back to those who give so much to our communities every day.
10. Star House Columbus
Our Columbus team volunteers at Star House, a 24/7 drop-in center supporting youth ages 14–24 experiencing homelessness in the region. Team members spent the day sorting and organizing clothing donations while learning more about Star House’s holistic approach—offering housing, therapy, education, food, and recovery services that create lasting pathways forward.
11. Cleveland Browns LEGENDS Clinic
As a proud partner of the Cleveland Browns, Office Revolution takes part in their annual LEGENDS Clinic—an initiative that brings Browns alumni and high school coaches together to mentor underserved youth through football. Our team volunteers onsite and donates goods to the children during the summer clinics.
12. Ronald McDonald House Charities
Across all Office Revolution locations, including Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, and Kansas City, we proudly support Ronald McDonald House Charities. Our teams volunteer at clinics, prepare meals for families, and assemble treats and toys for children and their parents, offering comfort during some of life’s most challenging moments.
