Project Designer
 - Remote

The Project Designer will have knowledge of interior design principles, space planning, building code requirements, specification preparation and verification, and technical skills to create design solutions for our customers.

The Project Designer will participate in meetings with internal & external clients to determine project requirements. The Project Designer will create detailed layouts, typicals, and installation drawings, and will manage projects from schematic design through final installation.

The Project Designer may work independently or within a team structure to coordinate and execute all the activities that make up the project management and design process.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from a CIDA accredited program
  • Must be proficient in space planning, ADA and egress codes, and reading architectural drawings
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD or CET

Senior Designer / RFP Strategist
 - Remote
 (Office Revolution)

Office Revolution is seeking a highly skilled **Senior Designer / RFP Strategist** to lead the development of innovative workplace furniture solutions while managing the design strategy and visual execution of competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) responses. This role combines furniture design expertise, strategic proposal development, value engineering, and visual storytelling to create compelling client solutions that align with project goals, budgets, and Office Revolution’s commitment to exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of contract furniture systems, space planning, furniture specification, proposal development, and graphic communication. This individual thrives in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment and serves as a strategic partner to sales, business development, marketing, manufacturers, and project teams throughout the pursuit process.

This position reports to the **Director of Business Development**, with close collaboration across Sales, Design, Marketing, Operations, and Project Management.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Furniture Design & Specification

  • Respond to contract furniture RFPs by developing comprehensive furniture solutions with a primary focus on workstations, benching systems, private offices, collaborative spaces, and ancillary furniture.
  • Review and analyze RFP documents, drawings, specifications, and client requirements to identify scope gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for strategic recommendations.
  • Develop creative furniture solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, ergonomics, sustainability, and budget objectives.
  • Apply value engineering strategies to maximize project value while maintaining design integrity and specification compliance.
  • Create accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) from floor plans, furniture typicals, and specifications while ensuring accurate quantities, pricing, product applications, and discount structures.
  • Understand and manage project price-per-square-foot goals, recommending furniture solutions that align with client budgets and overall project objectives.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of manufacturer product lines, finishes, pricing structures, lead times, and competitive positioning within the contract furniture industry.
  • Coordinate with manufacturer representatives and vendor partners to obtain pricing, specifications, finish information, samples, and technical support.
  • Produce high-quality furniture layouts, environmental renderings, finish presentations, and visual concepts that effectively communicate design intent.
  • Support project teams through design revisions, pricing updates, negotiations, and client presentations.

Proposal & RFP Strategy

  • Lead the visual strategy, organization, and production of RFP and proposal responses for workplace, healthcare, education, government, and commercial furniture projects.
  • Collaborate with business development, sales, design, marketing, project management, and subject matter experts to develop strategic proposal responses that align with client priorities and Office Revolution’s competitive advantages.
  • Translate complex technical information into persuasive, client-focused narratives supported by engaging graphics, charts, infographics, and visual storytelling.
  • Design proposal layouts that enhance readability, compliance, evaluator experience, and overall presentation quality.
  • Participate in proposal kickoffs, strategy sessions, content planning meetings, and final reviews.
  • Design branded proposal templates, cover pages, project profiles, team resumes, case studies, presentations, and supporting marketing collateral.
  • Ensure all proposal submissions maintain consistent branding, formatting, messaging, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate proposal content, edit documentation for clarity and consistency, manage version control, and ensure compliance with submission requirements and deadlines.

Process Improvement & Collaboration

  • Continuously improve proposal workflows, templates, graphic libraries, and production processes to increase efficiency and consistency.
  • Analyze proposal outcomes and client feedback to identify opportunities for improving future submissions and increasing win rates.
  • Maintain proficiency in industry software used for furniture specification, space planning, rendering, pricing, proposal production, and graphic design.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communicate proactively regarding project status, risks, scheduling, and recommended solutions throughout the proposal and design process.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design
  • 5+ years of experience in contract furniture design, dealership operations, proposal management, workplace design, commercial interiors, or related industry experience.
  • Experience developing competitive RFP responses within the commercial furniture or A&D industry strongly preferred.

Senior Project Coordinator
 - Remote

The Senior Project Coordinator (SPC) plays a vital role in supporting the Design, Sales, and Project Management teams, ensuring seamless execution of projects from start to finish. This high-volume, data-heavy, and process-driven role involves collaborating with both internal and external team members to manage project timelines, track progress, and guarantee the successful delivery of high-quality products and services. The SPC is responsible for ensuring that client expectations are met through effective communication, problem-solving, and close coordination of vendor relations.

This position is based remotely, with occasional travel as needed for company events.


WHAT YOU’LL DO

Proposal & Order Management:

  • Compose formal proposals based on project pricing and specifications provided by the Project Manager.
  • Generate Proforma Invoices to accompany proposals.
  • Confirm bill-to and ship-to contacts are correct.
  • Review specs to confirm margins, discounts, freight, services, labor, and tax.
  • Confirm editable Terms & Conditions are included.
  • Convert sales orders into the business system upon client sign-off.
  • Write and submit purchase orders to vendors to meet project timelines.
  • Track progress of orders and resolve any discrepancies with vendor acknowledgments.
  • Initiate and confirm check requests for deposits as required.
  • Confirm orders have been placed.
  • Confirm deposit invoices have been processed and paid.
  • Confirm COM fabrics have been received and confirm ship dates with manufacturer.
  • Confirm ship dates are listed in Core.
  • Confirm items are received in Core and packing slips are saved in the file cabinet.
  • File any claims for damage upon product receipt and coordinate replacements proactively.

Ancillary Specifications & Quoting:

  • Request quotes from vendors.
  • Confirm lead times and COM (Customer’s Own Material) requirements.
  • Check COM availability, inquire about holds or expected arrival of new stock, and lead time for replenishment.
  • Build CAP/Core specifications.
  • Apply appropriate discounts.
  • Collaborate with Sales/CAM on margin reviews.
  • Research product alternates as needed.
  • Track outstanding questions and clarifications.
  • Ensure proper documentation is saved, using consistent naming conventions, with outdated versions archived and emails filed.

Image Book & Presentation Support:

  • Assist with image book creation.
  • Pull accurate and up-to-date images.

Project Coordination & Communication:

  • Maintain transparent and proactive communication with internal teams (Sales, Project Management, Design) regarding project timelines, milestones, and expectations.

  • Manage day-to-day client communications.
  • Order samples, coordinate deliveries, and oversee installations.
  • Support bids, project books, and presentation materials.

Client & Request Management:

  • Own smaller customer requests where design is not needed (consult with Sales and keep them copied).
  • Assist with customer requests that involve design collaboration.

Vendor Relations & Logistics:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors.
  • Track shipments, coordinate receiving, and resolve delivery issues.
  • Confirm product specs, pricing, and lead times.
  • Maintain vendor database in Core, including W-9s, remit-to addresses, account numbers, order entry contacts, and reps.
  • Update password spreadsheet for online vendors.

Installation & Punchlist Management:

  • Schedule installations and ensure documentation is complete.
  • Coordinate pre-install meetings and resolve job site issues.
  • Handle warranty claims and post-install service.
  • Oversee reorders or repairs based on receiving reports.
  • Manage freight claims and replacements as needed.

Data & Reporting:

  • Maintain organized project documentation and status reports.
  • Assist with CAP specs and update image books.
  • Approve vendor invoices and manage billing accuracy.
