When Sonova, a legacy client of Office Revolution, was relocating to its new headquarters in Aurora, IL, Whitney Architects asked us to help develop a new collaborative workplace. Through careful space planning, the office layout was designed to give a sense of openness while accommodating areas for uninterrupted focus and concentration. Sonova continuously challenges the limits of technology to help overcome difficult hearing situations, and these new breakout areas allow them to test out their solutions. Workstations and private offices were equipped with Teknion Leverage and District benching with height-adjustable table bases. A variety of comfortable seating and a combination of panels, wall units and curtains were used throughout the space to separate collaboration areas while still allowing for natural light to flow through.
Through a variety of furnishings, we helped transform the open-plan environment into a range of new and agile working spaces to mirror Sonova’s corporate vision “for a life without limitations.”
