Office Revolution played a pivotal role in supporting Silver Cross Hospital’s initiative to enhance patient care by consolidating several smaller locations into a single, larger facility. This centralization aimed to streamline services and provide a more efficient, patient-centered environment. Silver Cross Hospital sought a partner who could deliver a sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing space—and Office Revolution was uniquely positioned to fulfill this vision.
Our approach offered a blend of new and repurposed furnishings, aligned with Silver Cross’s commitment to sustainability and budgetary goals. Leveraging the expertise of our sister company, Rework, we reupholstered existing pieces, seamlessly integrating them into the new design. This combination of fresh and revitalized furnishings provided Silver Cross Hospital with a cohesive, durable, and environmentally responsible solution, making Office Revolution an ideal partner for this transformative project.
The hospital’s commitment to sustainability resonated deeply with us, as they sought to minimize waste by reusing, reupholstering, and refinishing furniture instead of sending it to landfills. In developing the design plan for the new facility, we conducted a thorough inventory assessment of the four prior locations. We were able to repurpose a significant portion of their existing furnishings, aligning with their sustainability goals and significantly reducing their costs.
The scope of our work included furnishing two floors, encompassing physician exam rooms, nurses’ stations, waiting areas, and lobby. Recognizing the unique demands of healthcare environments, we prioritized materials that not only met stringent cleanliness and durability standards but also enhanced infection control. Our design team strategically selected medical-grade vinyl for its superior durability, easy maintenance, and resistance to bacterial growth, ensuring a hygienic space that supports patient safety. By focusing on biocompatibility and regulatory compliance, we tailored our design solutions to foster a clean, efficient, and inviting atmosphere that aligns with the hospital’s commitment to quality care.
In this project, our collaboration with sister companies Rework and Custom Crafters added distinct value to Silver Cross Hospital’s new facility. Custom Crafters, in particular, brought exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail in designing and producing bespoke reception desks tailored specifically for the lobby and waiting areas. These custom desks not only met Silver Cross’s functional requirements but also elevated the aesthetic appeal of the entrance, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that set a positive tone for patient and visitor experiences.
Each desk was carefully crafted to align with Silver Cross Hospital’s vision for a modern yet inviting environment. Custom Crafters selected high-quality, durable materials that met healthcare standards, ensuring longevity and ease of maintenance in a high-traffic area.
