First Eagle felt it was time for an office transformation as their space no longer reflected the modern, dynamic environment they sought to cultivate. Renovating the property, they aimed to create an open workspace atmosphere while preserving the privacy and essential functionality that enclosed walls provide. Office Revolution proposed the Teknion Focus single- and double-glazed glass wall systems and doors as they provide the perfect balance between aesthetic appeal and practical function. The glass wall systems provided an open, minimalist aesthetic while delivering the necessary sound barriers and privacy. The modern simplicity of the Teknion design immediately resonated with the First Eagle team, and the decision to move forward was an easy one.

Double-glazed glass was thoughtfully placed in areas where acoustic control was critical, while single-glazed glass was used in locations where visual openness was the priority. This tailored approach allowed for optimal functionality across the office while preserving the sense of openness. This thoughtful approach not only delivered improved acoustics but also maintained the low-profile, modern look that aligned with the overall design goals. Additionally, the inclusion of pocket doors in tighter spaces maximized functionality without compromising style, and the option for locking mechanisms ensured that security needs were met seamlessly.

A standout feature of the First Eagle project was the custom glass integration in the reception area, which was uniquely designed to wrap around the existing millwork. While installing glass doors and walls is common, this level of precision and customization was a first for Office Revolution. The seamless integration of the glass with the millwork created a striking focal point, blending form and function in a way that elevated the entire space. This innovative design solution demonstrated our commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in office interiors.

As with many complex projects, challenges arose. Supply chain delays affected the availability of hardware, leading to concerns about a delayed project timeline. Our commitment to ensure the project deadline was met remained steadfast. To ensure the renovation stayed on time, our partners proceeded with installing the glass systems and doors while coordinating the hardware installation for a later date. Proactive communication with subcontractors and consistent updates to First Eagle allowed for smooth coordination of all installations. Our team ensured that all doors were perfectly aligned, functional, and ready for final adjustments once the hardware arrived.

Despite these obstacles, the end result was a resounding success. First Eagle’s new office now embodies the modern, sophisticated space they had envisioned.
