Office Revolution Accelerates Growth with Location in Raleigh, North Carolina

Chicago, IL (October 13, 2020) – Office Revolution, a leading contract furniture provider for commercial environments, today announced the opening of a new office in Raleigh, North Carolina as a result of a merger with local commercial interior provider Edge Office. The move to expand in Raleigh will accelerate the company’s growth strategy as it leverages the area’s strong population and job growth. Raleigh is one of the ten fastest growing large cities in the U.S. with several top-tier universities and a premier tech hub.

“We’re very excited about expanding our design team and customer base further positioning Office Revolution as a leader in contract furniture services,” said Bernie Donaldson, founding principal, Office Revolution. “Edge Office brings more than 100 customers including Pendo, Bandwidth, Varonis, Sprout Pharmaceuticals, GFL Environmental Inc., NC State University and the University of North Carolina to the merger.” The combined organization has begun on a high note with a large-scale design project for Cisco Meraki’s Raleigh-Durham offices.

Dale Lambe, who has served the Raleigh-Durham commercial flooring market for more than 20 years, will lead new business development as principal of the new Office Revolution location. “Dale joins us with business start-up and merger integration success as well as local market knowledge, a skill set that will help us grow our brand throughout the Southeast,” said Donaldson. Michael Kerr, founder of Edge Office will stay on in a sales leadership role.

The Raleigh location is the first outside the Midwest market for Office Revolution which is headquartered in Chicago and has locations in suburban Chicago and Columbus, Ohio. Office Revolution is one of the largest Teknion dealers in the country and has been recognized with Teknion’s Orion Award for excellence in sales, service, community involvement and customer satisfaction. Office Revolution is expanding to Raleigh, North Carolina!

Chicago-based furniture provider Office Revolution, winner of Teknion’s prestigious Orion Award for excellence in sales, service, community involvement and customer satisfaction, is expanding to Raleigh, NC this fall. The move is a result of a merger between Office Revolution and Edge Office, a furniture provider known for executing commercial interiors. With over 40 years of combined experience, this merge of companies results in a powerhouse of knowledge in the office furniture arena. The merger will kick off with both companies partnering on a large-scale project for Cisco. Both firms recently collaborated on a project for Cisco Meraki in Chicago.

“Moving into the Raleigh, NC marketplace will only enhance the brand of Office Revolution, says Bernie Donaldson,” Founding Principal of Office Revolution. “I have known Michael Kerr [Principal of Edge Office] for over 15 years, having served with him on the Teknion Dealer Council, and he is an industry professional that we are very excited to partner with,” Bernie added.  

Office Revolution was founded in 2000 and earns around $80 million in annual revenue. There are over 70 employees in Chicago and three current locations. Major clients include the McDonalds, BMO Harris Bank, U.S. Foods, CIBC, and Waste Management.

A first look at our Columbus office

We have officially opened our doors to our new Columbus office! Located in the heart of the city, we are excited to call the Brewery District our home, a flourishing neighborhood that is also the location of the Hoster Brewery redevelopment project.

Our new space spans 5,200 sq. ft. and is located in a historic property dating back to 1900. We worked to maintain the integrity of the original space, which features beautiful brick walls, polished concrete floors, industrial pane windows, and original barn doors that create an incredibly unique space filled with natural light. We furnished the space with products from a number of manufacturers including: Teknion, StudioTK, Allermuir, OFS, Compel, Gus Modern, Crow Works, National, Global, and SitOnIt.
