Better Tools. Better Collaboration. Better Project Outcomes.

How Office Revolution is exploring new ways to make space planning, furniture specification, and project delivery more efficient and collaborative.

Creating a successful workplace involves hundreds of decisions, from the earliest space plans to final furniture specifications. The right technology can make those decisions easier to navigate, helping clients visualize possibilities, evaluate options, and move forward with greater confidence.

That’s why staying ahead of evolving design and specification technology matters.

Recently, Office Revolution’s Lindsey Roesch, Director of Design; Sarah Farag, Design Team Lead; and Eric Ripes, Senior Designer, attended Configura’s Experience 2026. Over three days, they explored emerging capabilities in CET and SPEC, exchanged ideas with industry peers, and identified opportunities to make our planning and specification processes even more effective.

The goal isn’t simply to adopt new technology. It’s to find better ways to support our clients and project partners.

Making the Planning Process More Collaborative

Some of the most valuable insights came from seeing how other dealers and manufacturers are using technology to bring clients more directly into the planning process.

One approach that stood out involved using CET to collaborate with clients in real time. With Haworth’s extensive CET extension, designers can explore furniture configurations, make adjustments, and gather feedback during planning discussions.

For clients, this creates opportunities for a more interactive and informed decision-making process.

Rather than reviewing a proposed layout and waiting for revisions, clients can participate in exploring alternatives, understanding trade-offs, and refining solutions alongside the design team.

The result is a more collaborative experience, with greater visibility into the decisions shaping the final space.

Exploring Technology That Makes Complex Projects Easier

Experience 2026 also introduced our team to new and evolving capabilities that could help streamline planning, improve consistency, and make project information easier to communicate.

Here are four that we’re particularly interested in:

Faster Planning and More Consistent Solutions

CET Favorites Browser — Upcoming Feature

Expected in late 2026 or early 2027, the Favorites Browser could give our designers easier access to standardized layouts, commonly used configurations, and frequently referenced resources.

For clients, this could mean more efficient early planning, greater consistency across spaces, and a faster path toward preliminary furniture budgets.

More Efficient Specification Management

SPEC Merge Tool — Available Now

Complex projects often require specifications to be combined, revised, and maintained across multiple files.

SPEC’s Merge Tool allows information from one file to be incorporated into another and adjusted as needed.

We’re exploring how this capability could help our team manage standards and reusable specification content more efficiently, supporting greater consistency and reducing unnecessary duplication throughout the process.

Clearer, More Consistent Project Presentations

SPEC-to-PowerPoint

Communicating furniture selections and specifications clearly is an important part of helping clients make informed decisions.

The ability to convert SPEC project information directly into PowerPoint presentations could reduce manual formatting and create a more consistent way to share project details.

That means less time preparing information and more time focused on reviewing options, answering questions, and moving decisions forward.

Helping Clients Visualize Possibilities Earlier

AI Photo

Visualizing a space before final selections are made can help clients evaluate ideas and communicate preferences.

AI Photo offers the potential to generate polished conceptual visuals, creating new possibilities for early space-planning discussions, image books, and presentations with tight turnaround requirements.

Our team is evaluating how this technology could help communicate ideas earlier and make design conversations more productive.

Turning New Insights Into Better Client Experiences

Technology alone doesn’t create a successful project. The value comes from knowing when and how to use it.

For Office Revolution, events like Experience 2026 are an opportunity to learn from the broader industry, challenge our own processes, and identify practical improvements that benefit the people we work with.

As our team evaluates these capabilities, we’re focused on opportunities to:

  • Make planning more collaborative, giving clients greater visibility and input throughout the process.
  • Support better decisions, with clearer information and more effective ways to explore alternatives.
  • Improve efficiency and consistency, simplifying the work behind complex projects.
  • Strengthen project communication, helping everyone stay aligned as decisions move from concept to execution.

Our clients count on us for more than furniture solutions. They count on our experience to guide decisions, our resources to solve challenges, and our processes to keep projects moving forward.

Investing in our team’s knowledge and capabilities is one more way we’re delivering on that commitment.
