Senior Proposal Strategist – Office Revolution

Position Overview: The Senior Proposal Strategist leads the development and submission of client-specific creative proposals, manages client-facing templates, and provides mentorship to junior team members in the Strategic Team. This role involves full ownership of research, analysis, and submission processes to ensure all materials adhere to brand guidelines and remain accurate and current. Additionally, this strategist will support a range of strategic and company-focused initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the RFP process, focusing on high-volume and high-visibility pursuits, and ensure a refined, impactful approach.
  • Conduct research to enhance competitiveness in the RFP and client interview process.
  • Research new technologies, including AI.
  • Collaborate with Principals, Business Development, and the Director of Strategic Design on significant projects, overseeing branding and creative direction to showcase our strengths during the RFP process.
  • Develop targeted collateral for clients and explore new vertical markets.
  • Conduct end-user research to inform strategy and tailor content to specific segments, and to augment Business Development efforts.
  • Create and manage content assets for RFP and BD/Sales presentations.
  • Attend showroom tours and other events as needed to gather insights for messaging and strategic planning.
  • Support additional marketing initiatives as needed.


Position can be located at any of our current Office Revolution locations. Chicago, IL, Columbus, OH, Cleveland, OH, or Kansas City, MO.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in interior design, marketing, sales, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the commercial furniture industry is preferred.
  • Strong business acumen to uphold brand standards for clients.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Canva.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong editing and proofreading abilities.
  • Ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively.
  • Highly organized and responsive to client needs and deadlines.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and capable of quickly re-prioritizing projects.

Director of Sales – Office Revolution (Chicago)

Position Overview: multiple channels and teams. This role will be responsible for managing our direct sales team, corporate account managers, and digital sales channels. The Sales Leader will play a crucial role in coaching and developing our vertical and market-specific sales heads, driving accountability and growth through effective CRM management, sales funnel oversight, and targeted training. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic, growth-oriented mindset, with a passion for team development, process excellence, and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Team Leadership:
    • Oversee and lead the direct sales team, corporate account managers, and digital sales channels, ensuring alignment with company objectives and sales targets.
    • Provide coaching and guidance to sales heads of verticals and markets, empowering them to drive sales performance within their teams.
  • CRM Accountability and Funnel Management:
    • Ensure all sales data is accurately and promptly recorded in the CRM system. Hold sales team members accountable for maintaining clean and complete CRM records.
    • Conduct regular one-on-one reviews of sales funnels with team members, providing feedback and coaching on strategies to grow pipeline and close deals effectively.
  • Training & Development:
    • Develop and implement training programs focused on enhancing sales strategy, CRM usage, and market knowledge.
    • Create and facilitate ongoing development initiatives to foster continuous learning and professional growth among sales staff.
    • Participate in and observe sales calls with team members to support their development and provide coaching.
  • Vendor and Spiff Program Management:
    • Manage vendor relationships to ensure the sales team has access to essential resources and tools for success.
    • Design, implement, and oversee spiff (sales performance incentive fund) programs to drive motivation and reward top performance.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Professional Services and Marketing, to align sales strategies with broader company objectives.
    • Act as a key collaborator with senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for overall sales strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales leadership roles, managing diverse sales teams and multiple sales channels.
  • Contract furniture dealer experience or similar industry experience required.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems and best practices, with a demonstrated ability to enforce accountability within sales teams.
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills, with a track record of developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and implementing incentive programs, including spiff programs.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, follow-up and closing skills.

Senior Designer – Office Revolution (Chicago)

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Designer will have substantial knowledge of interior design principles, space planning, building code requirements, specification preparation and verification, and technical skills to create design solutions for our customers.
  • The Senior Designer will participate in meetings with internal & external clients to determine project requirements.
  • The designer will work with commercial clients to create detailed layouts, typicals, and installation drawings, and will manage projects from schematic design through final installation.
  • The Senior Designer may work independently or within a team structure to coordinate and execute all of the activities that make up the project management and design process.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from a CIDA accredited program.
  • Must be proficient in space planning, ADA and egress codes, AutoCAD drafting, 3D drawings, rendering techniques, and reading architectural drawings.
  • Must be able to think strategically, analytically and creatively.
  • Must be highly organized, detailed, motivated, and able to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.
  • Must have a good understanding of the mathematics required to successfully complete all phases of the design process.
  • Must be able to work effectively as a team player on independent and group projects.
  • Must have at least (4+) years in the contract furniture industry and knowledge of contract furniture, ancillary products, and manufacturing.

Senior Designer – Office Revolution (Chicago)

Job Responsibilities:

The Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects including project planning, logistics plans, project schedules, budget estimating, resource allocation, proposal generation and job costing. This role is responsible for being the primary contact and providing continual updates as necessary to the client on project requirements and project status. The Project Manager is expected to provide a professional, well-coordinated project implementation that meets or exceeds the client’s expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and review project designs, ensuring proper preparation and/or review of plans and specifications.
  • Prepare cost estimates, including products, freight, and labor expenses.
  • Oversee the order entry process and manage project costs, ensuring overall profitability.
  • Coordinate and execute the installation phase within the project management process.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer and all third-party firms involved in project communications.
  • Collaborate with business development personnel to identify and engage in sales opportunities.


Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in interior architecture or interior design from an accredited institution is preferred.

  • Prior design experience is preferred.

  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience in the construction and/or contract furniture industry is required. Familiarity with contract furniture products and manufacturing processes is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of products and technical aspects, including building codes, product applications, custom product design and pricing, estimating, and understanding of electricity and cabling systems.

  • Highly motivated, personable, and self-driven with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, often under tight deadlines.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong editing and proofreading abilities.

  • Demonstrated strategic, analytical, and creative thinking capabilities.

  • Solid understanding of financial principles, including the ability to calculate vendor net and sell discounts and conduct basic financial analysis.
