Business Development/Sales

  • As the #1 Teknion dealer in the Midwest, Business Development team members work with their network of lead sources, end users and industry influencers to identify and establish new client relationships. Offering the full scope of products and world class consulting and service solutions, business development team members are responsible for the management of assigned company accounts and converting project opportunities into annuity business, resulting in client retention and loyalty. Common candidate qualifications for Business Development include:
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal team members
  • Ability to assess, adapt and reprioritize projects quickly when needed
  • Previous experience in contract furniture industry and knowledge of products and manufacturing

Project Manager

A Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects including project planning, logistics plans, project schedules, budget estimating, resource allocation, proposal generation and job costing. This role is the primary contact for the client. Common candidate qualifications for a Project Manager position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior architecture or interior design
  • Previous experience in the contract furniture industry and knowledge of contract furniture products and manufacturing
  • Highly organized individual, sensitive and responsive to internal and external client demands and deadlines

Designer

Our Designers work with a variety of clients, including Fortune 1000, A&D, Project Managers and General Contractors. As the #1 Teknion dealer in the Midwest, our Designers work with a wide variety of products including Architectural Walls, systems, casegoods, technology integrated solutions, ergonomic solutions and advanced design concepts. Our Designers conceive, design, plan, prepare and present furniture trends, furniture floor plans and furniture specifications for new or modified client workspaces using modern day activity-based planning principals. Common candidate qualifications for the Designer position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting, 3-D Modeling, rendering techniques and in reading architectural drawings
  • Must have a good understanding of mathematics to successfully complete all phases of the design process

Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and proper execution of all phases of the order fulfillment process on any size project and provides guidance on ordering requirements and set up. In working with the Business Development members, Designers and or Corporate Account Managers, the Project Coordinator provides support on the following phases of a project: customer communications, product research, pricing, proposal development, change orders, add-on orders, etc. Common candidate qualifications for a Project Coordinator include:

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills in addition to strong editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to conduct basic financial analysis to meet project needs
  • Ability to solve problems within established scope of work, budgets and schedules
