It was a night filled with great people, delicious food, and rock and roll as bands took to the stage to support the City of Hope Foundation. City of Hope is a world leader in the research and treatment of cancer, diabetes, and other serious diseases. Every year, City of Hope conducts clinical trials enrolling more than 6,000 patients. They translate breakthrough laboratory findings into real, lifesaving treatments and cures, and manufacture them at three, on-campus facilities.
Last night, the event raised over $350,000 to help continue their research and treatment for these serious, life-threatening diseases. Office Revolution’s Jim Hornof performed with his band Spakl, as they had the crowd dancing and singing the whole time to some classic tunes. This is one of our favorite events every single year, and we’re very proud to be a part of it and help give back to a foundation that is making such a strong impact around the world.
As Director of A&D Business Development, Katey will lead Office Revolution’s design initiatives for the architecture & design community and will manage the New Business Development Team to best serve our clients. She will also be working hand in hand with the Marketing Team to help spread the Office Revolution brand and raise awareness of our mission to build beautiful and functional spaces.
“Over the years, Katey has grown tremendously as a professional and has become a real leader within our company,” says Principal Owner, Bernie Donaldson. “I’m proud of how she represents the Office Revolution brand in the marketplace and her dynamic with internal groups. I’m thrilled to welcome Katey to our leadership team.”
With over 11 years of experience in the commercial design industry, Katey has worked both as an interior designer and in contract furniture sales. We look forward to seeing her grow as a part of the leadership team in her new position.
It was a day filled with classic rock and cabbages, as Office Revolution spent the morning volunteering at the Greater Chicago Food Depository boxing up produce to the tunes of Led Zeppelin, Wham! and Kansas. We enjoyed the opportunity for us to get involved and help give back to the community, and we also got to bond with colleagues and friends while we packaged over 34,000 lbs. of produce in just a few hours!
We had teams of packers who picked the produce that passed their rigorous inspection and placed them into boxes. Who knew cabbages could be so heavy?! We also had the weighing team who ensured each box was within the weight limits for shipping purposes, and our box makers and runners who got their cardio in by running empty boxes wherever they needed to go. We filled over 1,100 boxes by the end of the morning!
The team at the Greater Chicago Food Depository truly couldn’t have been greater. They we’re welcoming, kind, and very helpful in answering all of our questions. We were happy to work with such an amazing group.
As we laughed and danced while we packed up our produce, we realized this will be an event that Office Revolution looks forward to continuing to do for years to come. “In keeping with our commitment to social responsibility, we are proud to support the Greater Chicago Food Depository with our volunteer efforts. Working together as a team to help others builds on our overall effort to foster a culture that all members are proud to be a part.” says Principal Owner, Dave Feder. Needless to say, Cabbage will not be on the menu for dinner tonight.
